A high-powered delegation from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone, has departed Freetown for Makeni to participate in a major entrepreneurship training programme under the Sierra Leone Education in Entrepreneurial Pedagogy and Skills (SLEEK) Project, a European Union co-funded initiative.

The training, which is scheduled to commence on June 9, 2026, at the University of Makeni (UNIMAK), will bring together representatives from universities across Sierra Leone, as well as InnoSL, an Entrepreneurship Support Organization (ESO). The programme will also host professors, faculty leads, and administrators from leading European universities.

The visiting European team is expected to conduct intensive training-of-trainers sessions aimed at strengthening Sierra Leone’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The initiative seeks to transform entrepreneurship education, promote innovation, and bridge the gap between academia and the business sector.

Since its launch, the SLEEK Project has attracted considerable attention from higher education institutions and stakeholders across Sierra Leone. The programme is designed to enhance entrepreneurial pedagogy, build institutional capacity, and equip students with practical skills needed to thrive in a competitive business environment.

The SLEEK Project brings together some of Sierra Leone’s leading universities and reputable European institutions in a strategic partnership aimed at revolutionizing entrepreneurship education and empowering the next generation of innovators and job creators.

Participants are expected to benefit from knowledge-sharing sessions, collaborative learning experiences, and best practices from European institutions with established entrepreneurship programmes.
