NO MORE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER – JJ Saffa Reveals

Barely a week since he took over as the people’s Chief Minister, the SLPP strong man has dissolved what was hither to known as OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER, within the Office of the President.

The new Chief Minister made this disclosure last week while addressing young party professionals of the party at his office, who had called on him to congratulate him on his appointment as Chief Minister.

Among other things, Chief Minister Saffa told his audience that the decision to dissolve the Office of the Chief Minister was out of the desire to address core functional management dynamics especially those relating to the Presidency. We cannot have an office with the Office of the Presidency. We all belong to the Office of the President…thus NO MORE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER.

The complimentary card of the new Chief Minister

CM Saffa’s name card now reads as Office of the President and all staff within his entity will henceforth have their badges changed. The Chief Minister’s office is a unit within the Presidency and should remain so. No more Office within an Office.

Meanwhile a political analyst revealed that  “ Indirectly, JJ is telling us that the office of the chief minister was a serious threat to the office of the president. The chief minister’s office was seen as a parallel office to the office of the president. Hence, it  could be a valid reason why JJ has swiftly dissolved  the office of the chief minister  and place it under the office of the president.”

“Having the office of the chief minister operating within the same Administrative building as the office of the president, was a serious administrative blunder, I think” the analyst noted
