Next Bar President Makes Final Appeal to Lawyers in the Sierra Leone

ONE BAR. ONE PROFESSION. ONE SHARED RESPONSIBILITY.

Madam Martina Baindu Egbenda’s Final Appeal to Members of the Sierra Leone Bar Association

 Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

As we approach October 26, 2026, I make this heartfelt appeal to every member of the Sierra Leone Bar Association: let us rise above our differences and embrace the shared responsibility of building a stronger, more united, and progressive Bar.

My vision is simple but profound: Unity, Inclusion and Progress. I envision a Bar where every lawyer matters, every voice is heard, professional welfare is prioritised, accountability is upheld, and the independence of our profession remains sacrosanct.

Our Bar needs leadership that listens, unites, and serves. We must create opportunities for young lawyers, strengthen support for our members, promote professional excellence, and restore confidence in our institutions.

The upcoming bar election is not merely about choosing a president; it is about deciding the future we want for our profession and the legacy we will leave for generations to come.

I invite every colleague, regardless of age, region, or professional background, to join hands in building a Bar that truly belongs to all of us.

Together, we can unite our profession, renew our institutions, and advance the collective interests of every lawyer.

On October 26, let us make our choice with the future of the Bar in mind.

*Vote Team Martina for Unity, Inclusion and Progress!
