Former Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, has publicly expressed gratitude to President Julius Maada Bio following his removal from office.
In a brief response shared after the announcement, Abdulai wrote: “Thank you Mr President for giving me the opportunity to serve! Forever grateful!”
His statement came shortly after an official press release from the Office of the President confirmed that President Bio had relieved him of his duties as Executive Director of the National Sports Authority.
The presidency also announced the appointment of Mohamed Alphaka Conteh as Abdulai’s replacement.
Abdulai’s message has since drawn reactions on social media, with many observers commending his tone of appreciation and professionalism following the leadership change.
The National Sports Authority plays a key role in the development and management of sports across Sierra Leone, including overseeing national sporting facilities, programmes, and policy implementation.
