East End Lions Football Club has received Le150,000 in financial support from its main sponsors, AfriMoney and Africell Sierra Leone, ahead of the club’s upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The support fulfils a commitment made by AfriMoney and Africell Sierra Leone during the unveiling of the club’s new jersey, where the companies pledged to stand by the club throughout its continental journey.

Speaking during the presentation, AfriMoney CEO Martison Obeng-Agyei reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting East End Lions at every stage of the competition. He also encouraged the players to represent the club and Sierra Leone with pride, determination and professionalism.

Receiving the support on behalf of the club, Secretary-General Alpha Jalloh Esq. expressed appreciation to AfriMoney for its continued partnership and valuable contribution to the growth and development of East End Lions.

Jalloh said the funds would help cover key expenses, including travel, accommodation, venue arrangements and other logistics associated with the club’s continental campaign.

With the first-leg fixture set to be played in Abidjan and the return leg expected to be hosted at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Liberia, Jalloh noted that the financial support comes at a crucial time for the club.

He assured supporters that East End Lions is determined not merely to participate, but to compete strongly, advance to the group stage and make Sierra Leone proud.
