NRA Welcomes New Leadership to Advance Revenue Mobilization and Compliance

Following the announcement of presidential appointments, Mr. Abu Martin Kanneh has been appointed Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA).

Mr. Kanneh brings extensive experience in public and revenue administration to his new role. He joined the NRA in 2004 as a Collector and rose through the ranks over the years.

He subsequently served as Commissioner of the Customs Services Department before being appointed Senior Director of the Staff Welfare Department.

During his tenure as Commissioner of Customs Services, Mr. Kanneh provided strategic leadership in the administration and collection of customs duties, supervised border control and management operations, and supported trade facilitation initiatives aimed at promoting compliance and enhancing revenue mobilization.

His appointment comes at a significant time for the NRA as the Authority continues efforts to strengthen domestic revenue mobilization, improve taxpayer services, enhance compliance, and promote efficient and transparent revenue administration.

The Board, Senior Management, and staff of the National Revenue Authority have warmly congratulated Mr. Abu Martin Kanneh on his appointment as Commissioner General and wished him success as he assumes this important responsibility.
