The Prince of Wales School is set to host its 101st Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, 19 April 2026, with thousands of alumni “sets” expected to gather in celebration of the institution’s legacy and unity.

In an interview, Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, Vice President II of the Old Prince Waleans Association (OPWA), described this year’s event as a significant milestone reflecting the strength and continuity of the school’s alumni network.

He noted that the strong mobilisation of sets across different generations demonstrates the enduring bond among former students.

“This Thanksgiving is not just ceremonial; it is a moment of reconnection and responsibility,” Bangura said. “We are seeing thousands of sets coming together, and that tells you that the spirit of Prince of Wales School is alive and strong.”

Bangura added that the 101st celebration represents more than a routine observance, emphasizing that it signals a renewed commitment by alumni to support the growth and development of the school.

According to him, the Thanksgiving Service provides an opportunity to reflect on past achievements while encouraging collective efforts toward future progress.

He also highlighted the importance of unity within OPWA, noting that such gatherings help strengthen relationships, promote mentorship, and create avenues for meaningful contributions to the institution.

The event is expected to attract dignitaries, alumni from the diaspora, current students, and supporters, all coming together to celebrate a shared heritage and identity.
