Dream Model United Nations (Dream MUN) has announced the appointment of Prof. Ezekiel Duramany-Lakkoh as its Distinguished Chair of the Board, marking a new phase in the organisation’s leadership and strategic direction.
The appointment is expected to strengthen Dream MUN’s efforts to position itself beyond a conventional conference platform by creating opportunities for young people to engage in diplomacy, develop leadership skills, exchange ideas and build the confidence needed to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s development.
As Board Chair, Prof. Duramany-Lakkoh is expected to bring his experience, strategic insight, mentorship and leadership to support the organisation’s growth and long-term vision.
His responsibilities will include providing strategic guidance, strengthening governance structures, mentoring emerging leaders and supporting initiatives aimed at advancing the broader objectives of Dream MUN.
The organisation said his appointment comes at a time when Africa’s young population is increasingly taking an active role in shaping the continent’s future.
Dream MUN expressed confidence that Prof. Duramany-Lakkoh’s leadership will help expand its impact and create more opportunities for young people to participate in diplomacy, leadership and constructive dialogue.
The appointment reinforces Dream MUN’s vision of empowering a generation of confident, informed and globally engaged African youth as the organisation continues to grow its platform and influence.
