Orange Money Unveils Brand Ambassadors

As part of their corporate social responsibility of supporting the creative arts and pushing for development in the creative industry, the leading telecommunications company in terms of electronic financial services in the country ‘Orange Money’, has on Wednesday 15th June, 2015, unveiled the first set of “Orange Money Ambassadors”. This remarkable event took place at the Orange-SL headquarters at IMATT. 

The first set of Brand Ambassadors for Orange Money includes four individuals in the comedy industry namely; Yeamata, comedian Robinho, Saio D’ comedian, and Kindo Armani. Two musicians, Pitwizzy and Blesz were also added to the list of brand ambassadors, and Henrietta Mbawah an actress, as well as Alimatu Farahkan Sesay CEO of Lema’s Diary. These eight creative individuals were unveiled at the Orange-SL headquarters at IMATT, to serve as the very first set of Brand Ambassadors for Orange Money.

As the theme for the event says “Growing the Arts”, the event aimed at bringing onboard creative individuals with a productive platform to become Orange Money Ambassadors. The mobile company has created a fruitful partnership with individuals who are doing well in their different fields of creativity, as well as individuals with amazing characters. The mobile network company underscored that it is highly important to bring such people onboard as partners, because their brands are booming and with such partners onboard the Orange Money brand will also blossom positively.

The Orange Money CEO David Mansaray, thanked the newly appointed Orange Money brand ambassadors, as well as creative individuals from the ‘TikTok’ Community for coming onboard and partner with the mobile network. He added that his vision as Orange Money CEO is to see that the orange money brand is being promoted right across Sierra Leone.

David Mansaray emphasized that the orange money brand can only grow if they work and grow together with creative Sierra Leoneans, and promote local arts like musicians, comedians, social media influencers and others. He went on to say that as long as an individual is doing well in his/her respective field of creativity then there is a room for partnership. 

He underscored that the idea is to get celebrities across Sierra Leone to promote the orange money brand and in the process, Orange-SL will also support and promote these celebrities.

He concluded that orange money is looking forward to a much more prosperous relationship with these set of brand ambassadors and many others that would come onboard in the future – as the goal is not only to promote the orange money brand, but also to represent Orange Money wherever they are. 

Speaking on behalf of the orange money brand ambassadors, the comedian Kindo Armani thanked Orange Money for their thoughtfulness and beautiful initiative. He added that Orange Money is the biggest financial service provider in the country, and they are happy as the job is a boost for the Sierra Leone entertainment industry, as the orange money brand ambassadors cut across all aspects of entertainment, with the likes of musicians, comedians and actresses.

The other brand ambassadors also expressed their happiness and acknowledged that they are well determined to work with the orange money team to see how best they can create a positive impact to the orange money brand. They encouraged other organizations to also follow the footsteps of Orange-SL and orange money, to see how best they can help transform the entertainment industry in Sierra Leone.

The event climaxed with the signing of partnership deals between the newly appointed Orange Money brand ambassadors and orange money.
