DR. Kaifala Marah Speaks Tough... "WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT VICTORY"
Acting Chairman of the APC in Koinadugu District, Dr. Kaifala Marah has told party stalwarts and supporters in Kabala that as a party, the APC will not accept any results following the just concluded District Council Chairmanship and Councilor bye election other than victory for his party.
He told party stalwarts and supporters crowded in the APC Kabala office in no uncertain terms that the APC had won the elections clearly with a margin exceeding 6,000 votes for the Council Chairmanship bye election and over 100 votes for the Councilor election as indicated by all RRF forms gathered from 300 polling stations across the district.
“We hope NEC will do the right thing.
We are very confident of our victory in these elections,” Dr. Marah asserted, pointing out in very assertive tone that the people of Koinadugu District made their voices clear and assertive in their votes for the APC.

“These elections have indicated clearly that the people are ready and determined to return the APC to power in 2023,” Dr. Marah stressed, pointing out emphatically that with the demonstrated will and determination of the people, no amount of intimidation; no amount of violence, influence or manipulation will change the resolve of the people to return the APC to power.

“It is the will of the people” that the APC should return to power.

He said Koinadugu and Falaba are twin districts sharing together everything traditional and customary. “What we have demonstrated in Koinadugu District over the last 72 hours resonates with Falaba District, he stated.

He therefore called on the National Electoral Commission (NEC) to do the right thing and ensure the sanctity of the votes of the people of Koinadugu District.

Dr. Marah also called on the rest of the country, to draw lessons from the commitment and determination of the people of Koinadugu District to go for change. He admonished all shades of political leadership in Koinadugu to uphold the values of tolerance.

He called on the international community to keep their focus on the processes and procedures leading to the 2023 general elections and on elections day itself to ensure that the determined will of the people is expressed freely, fairly and transparently.
