In a major reshuffle, President Julius Maada Bio has removed two key public figures from their positions, according to official statements from the Presidency.
The President has dismissed popular hip-hop artist Amadu Bah( King Boss La) from his role as Peace Ambassador.
He has been replaced by entertainment figure Abubakarr S. Turay, who is popularly known as Shaddy Baby.
According to the statement, the Peace Ambassador role is aimed at promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion through youth and entertainment engagement.
In a separate decision, President Bio has also relieved the Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, of his duties.
He has been replaced by Mr. Mohamed Alphaka Conteh, who is expected to assume office subject to parliamentary approval.
The Office of the President did not provide reasons for either decision but confirmed that the appointments and removals take immediate effect.
The National Sports Authority is responsible for the development, regulation, and promotion of sports across Sierra Leone.
