The Diaspora Young Congress Leader for the All peoples’ Congress (APC) – Mustapha Azick Conteh (alias Port Loko Borbor), has strongly taken the forefront as he gears up in the positive fight to help the APC win the June 24th presidential elections.

It’s barely less than 3 weeks to elections and the positive fight by the APC has been intensified – a strategic player like Mustapha Azick Conteh, on the side of the APC has proven to be the ‘magic wand’ needed for victory come June 24.

The APC Diaspora Young Congress Leader was elected into office on 14th February 2023, as mandated by the APC constitution which allows young people to have a congress and share positive ideas.

As a sober minded and focused individual, Mustapha Azick Conteh based in the UK, thoughtfully created a formidable executive on 15th February 2023, an executive which consists of 15 hardworking individuals from the USA, Senegal, Ghana, Belgium, UK, and across the globe. These individuals are actively leading the positive fight for the APC to regain power and change the narrative of Sierra Leoneans.

To succeed in this fight and gather support, the APC Diaspora Young Congress under the able leadership of Mustapha Azick Conteh (Port Loko Borbor) organized a ‘Youth Conference Fundraising and Dinner’ in Belgium on 27th May 2023, where they sensitized Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora on the electioneering processes and strategies in place to help the leadership of the party – they also raised a mammoth sum of over €7.300 which is equivalent to over NLE.100M, that will be donated to the APC membership and its leader Dr. Samura Kamara in due time.

In an interview with the leader of the APC Diaspora Young Congress Mustapha Azick Conteh (Port Loko Borbor), he affirmed that they currently have a membership of over 80 young Sierra Leoneans who are actively working hard to see that we have a better Sierra Leone. He added that they have been holding regular meetings with the APC leadership in Freetown as well as the next president of Sierra Leone Dr. Samura Kamara, in which they have shared their own views and ideas on how they should work towards winning the presidential election come June 24th 2023.

Mustapha Azick Conteh also asserted that they have provided names of young people that will serve as polling agents and work with ECSL at tally centers, as well as be in the forefront of the APC campaigns.

“I and my team of young people in the diaspora and back home have been playing vital roles in ensuring that we support the leadership of the party to take back power through the ballot box and transform Sierra Leone to a positive trajectory” he said.

“As I reflect on the ‘Youth Conference and Fundraising Dinner’, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and pride for the strong bonds of friendship and unity that have been forged among our respective diaspora districts. I firmly believe that through continued collaboration, we can achieve even greater heights and make a lasting impact on the development and prosperity of our beloved nation.”

He also advised young people and Sierra Leoneans in general to participate in politics peacefully and avoid all forms of violence. He emphasized that it is our democratic right to vote and change governments when they have failed us, and despite governance is all about continuity, the SLPP has destroyed the progress of the nation and the fabrics of democracy.

Mustapha Azick Conteh (Port Loko Borbor) underscored that the APC under the able and strategic leadership of Dr. Samura Kamara, will save the economy of Sierra Leone from its current strangulation,  build infrastructure, enhance democracy and good governance, create youth employment, and bring huge development as outlined in the ‘One nation Save Salone’ manifesto.

The dynamic and vibrant leadership of Mustapha Azick Conteh is a clear testimony that the future of Sierra Leone is in good hands. Thousands of Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad have rendered salutes to the unwavering passion, energy, and dedication that he has placed into the cause.
