For Progress… APC AGREES TO PPRC DIRECTIVES

The National Secretariat of the All Peoples Congress (APC) has announced the deferment of its Constituency Lower-Level Elections, which were originally scheduled for Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

According to a public notice issued by the Party, the elections will now take place on Saturday, 4 July 2026.

The decision was taken in consultation with the Interim Elections Management Committee (IEMC), following the period of mourning and reflection currently being observed by the Party after the recent loss of senior stalwarts and key leaders.

The APC stated that the adjustment is intended to allow members across the country to fully participate in ongoing bereavement activities, while also preserving the unity, dignity, and solidarity of the Party.

The National Secretariat further urged aspirants, delegates, stakeholders, and members to make use of the additional time to strengthen engagement within their respective constituencies and prepare for peaceful, transparent, and credible elections.

It emphasized that the successful conduct of the elections is critical to the continued democratization and internal strengthening of the Party.

“All members are urged to participate fully and responsibly in the electoral process and to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes unity, peace, comradeship, and mutual respect,” the Party stated.

The Secretariat added that the deferment should serve as an opportunity to reinforce internal cohesion and ensure that the constituency elections are conducted successfully, laying a strong foundation for the next stages of the Party’s internal electoral process.

The APC concluded by thanking all members, stakeholders, and aspirants for their understanding, cooperation, and continued commitment to the Party.
