Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has supported the Ministry of Youth Affairs with Information Technology (IT) equipment in their continued effort to ensuring development in the sector.
A total number of fifteen (15) items were given to the Ministry by the GIZ which included five (5) laptop computers, five (5) printers and five (5) wireless mouse and keyboards.
That the support is in line with the request that was made by the Ministry to the GIZ.
“Please find attached the list of items that we were able to procure and to support you with as requested by parts of your ministry,” GIZ indicated in their mail to the Ministry.
As we have prepared the handing over from our side, we would kindly like to ask you to find time during this week to collect the listed items, they noted.
Prior to this support, GIZ has been supporting the government of Sierra Leone, especially the youths in order to ensure that they are capacitated by way of self-reliant.
For which several projects have been implemented by the German International Cooperation together with the Government of Sierra Leone targeting the provinces.
The programmes were geared towards creating self-employments for the youths, strengthening their business and also improve their livelihood.
The programme created the space for skills development of youths, business development for micro entrepreneurs, support to innovative ideas and also cash to support agricultural activities.
