The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Country Representative, Maxwell Tuuli, has paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), Abu Martin Kanneh, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on revenue mobilisation and tax administration.

The meeting, held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, reaffirmed the shared commitment of the IMF and NRA to improving domestic revenue mobilisation, strengthening tax administration and implementing sound revenue policies in Sierra Leone.

The engagement also focused on strengthening institutional performance and enhancing cooperation between the two institutions to support the country’s economic development objectives.

Both sides underscored the importance of a strong institutional partnership built on mutual support, shared goals and sustained cooperation to achieve meaningful and lasting results for Sierra Leone’s economy.

The visit further highlights the continued collaboration between the IMF and the NRA in supporting measures aimed at improving revenue collection and strengthening the country’s fiscal management.
