The All People’s Congress (APC) has announced deadlines for members seeking to contest District Executive positions at the party’s forthcoming District Conventions.
According to a public notice issued by the APC National Secretariat on September 1, 2026, the move follows an August 31, 2026 order of the High Court directing the party to proceed with the conduct of District Elections within 21 days.
The party said manual applications for District Executive positions must be submitted by close of business on Thursday, September 3, 2026. The deadline, it explained, is intended to provide sufficient time for the processing of applications and the entry of candidates’ details into the party’s online system.
For online applications, prospective candidates are required to complete and successfully submit their candidature applications by close of business on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The APC warned that manual applications submitted after the September 3 deadline would not be accepted.
Prospective candidates have also been reminded to satisfy the eligibility requirements outlined under Article 55(e) of the APC Constitution, 2022, as well as other relevant provisions governing candidature for party positions.
The National Secretariat urged all interested members to submit their applications and supporting documents accurately and completely, and to do so well ahead of the stipulated deadlines.
The announcement comes as the APC moves to meet the High Court’s directive to conduct its District Elections within the prescribed 21-day period.
