The National Revenue Authority (NRA), through its Non-Tax Revenue (NTR) Department, has sealed Mineret Company Limited over outstanding tax liabilities amounting to US$1 million.
The enforcement action, carried out on September 1, 2026, forms part of the NRA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen taxpayer compliance and increase domestic revenue mobilisation.
According to the NRA, the action demonstrates its commitment to ensuring that businesses operating in Sierra Leone meet their statutory tax obligations and settle outstanding liabilities in accordance with the law.
The Authority has urged businesses and taxpayers with outstanding liabilities to settle their obligations promptly, warning that failure to comply with tax requirements could result in enforcement measures being taken in line with relevant laws and regulations.
The NRA further disclosed that enforcement actions will be extended to 10 additional businesses and companies as it intensifies its compliance drive.
The Authority encouraged taxpayers seeking further information to contact its Public Affairs and Tax Education Department via info@nra.gov.sl or +232-80-839-839.
The NRA said the enforcement measures are part of broader efforts to promote tax compliance and strengthen Sierra Leone’s domestic revenue mobilisation.
