IPAM Student Union Government Appoints Dauda Junior Bangura as Deputy Minister of Social Welfare

The Students’ Union Government of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) has announced the appointment of Mr. Dauda Junior Bangura as the new Deputy Minister of Social Welfare.

Mr. Bangura is a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Accounting. The appointment, made by the Office of the President of the Students’ Union Government, takes effect from January 2026 and was officially communicated through a letter signed by the Students’ Union President, Mr. Denzel Duramany-Lakkoh.

According to the appointment letter, Mr. Bangura will support the Ministry of Social Welfare in addressing key student welfare concerns. His responsibilities include promoting inclusion, supporting initiatives aimed at improving campus life, and advocating for vulnerable student groups across IPAM. The Students’ Union Government expressed confidence that his work will contribute positively to the overall well-being of students.

As Deputy Minister, Mr. Bangura is also expected to uphold the Constitution and core values of the Students’ Union Government while working actively in the collective interest of the student body. The Office of the President described the appointment as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen student representation and ensure that welfare matters receive the attention they deserve.

Mr. Bangura has already formally confirmed his acceptance of the appointment and is expected to begin work immediately after completing the required formalities.

The Students’ Union Government has expressed its readiness to work closely with him and looks forward to his impact in this important role.
