Some of Sierra Leone’s biggest music stars are set to electrify Fourah Bay Field today, Thursday 18 December, as they storm the campaign launch of leading All People’s Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer aspirant, Ady Macauley.

Renowned artist and Peace Ambassador King Boss La, alongside legendary musician Innocent Kuti and several other top performers, have confirmed their attendance at the event, popularly branded “Ady Fest.” The artists made their intentions known through viral video messages, calling on fans and supporters to turn out in large numbers and show solidarity with what they described as the “people’s choice,” Ady Macauley.

The high-profile musical support adds a strong entertainment and youth-driven dimension to the campaign launch, which organisers say will go beyond conventional politics to celebrate unity, inclusion and hope. The event is expected to attract thousands of APC supporters and citizens from across the Western Area and beyond.

Scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m., the launch will be held under the theme “Building Bridges & Creating Opportunities for All.” The presence of top artists is seen as a major boost to the movement, particularly among young people, many of whom view Macauley as a strong advocate for the marginalized and a consistent voice for social justice.

Apart from live musical performances, the programme will feature addresses by party stakeholders, community engagement sessions and presentations outlining the vision of the Ady Macauley Movement, with a focus on youth empowerment, inclusive development and active civic participation.

The Western Region Executive of the APC has already thrown its weight behind the event, underscoring growing party support for Macauley’s ambition. With excitement building across Freetown, today’s gathering is expected to blend politics and culture in a show of momentum ahead of the 2026 elections, as the campaign message #VoteAdy2026 continues to gain traction.
