Thousands of Sierra Leoneans, including supporters of the All People’s Congress (APC), are set to converge on Fourah Bay Field on Thursday, 18 December, for the highly anticipated launch of Ady Macauley’s campaign.
Ady Macauley, widely recognized as the voice for marginalized Sierra Leoneans and the “People’s Lawyer,” has positioned himself as a champion for youth and all citizens. Organisers have described the event not merely as a campaign launch but as a festival, aptly named “Ady Fest.”
The launch, scheduled for 12:00 p.m., will be held under the theme: “Building Bridges & Creating Opportunities for All.” Attendees can expect a vibrant gathering featuring community leaders, APC members, and supporters from across the Western Area and beyond.
Several top Sierra Leonean artists are slated to perform, including the acclaimed King Boss La , Innocent and other notable figures in the music industry, adding a celebratory atmosphere to the event.
According to organisers, the Ady Macauley Movement seeks to promote inclusive growth through community development initiatives, youth empowerment programmes, and platforms that encourage active civic participation. These initiatives form part of Macauley’s broader political agenda, encapsulated in the campaign message #VoteAdy2026, which underscores his national leadership ambitions.
The programme will feature keynote addresses, community-focused discussions, interactive engagement sessions, and live musical performances, providing attendees with opportunities to understand the movement’s objectives and explore avenues for involvement.
The Western Region Executive of the APC has officially endorsed the movement and extended its support to the campaign launch, signalling strong party backing for Macauley’s initiative.
With excitement building across the city, Thursday’s “Ady Fest” promises to be a landmark event, blending political engagement with community celebration
