The Lawyers’ Society has extended warm congratulations to all newly called barristers, commending them on reaching a significant milestone in their legal careers.
In a welcome message, the Society described the call to the Bar not as an end, but as the beginning of a lifelong journey of service, discipline, and professional growth. Newly called lawyers were urged to dedicate their formative years at the Bar to diligent learning, hard work, and the honing of their legal skills.
“Mastery, integrity, and reputation are built with patience and consistency, and affluence follows naturally where excellence leads,” the message stated. The Society emphasized the importance of upholding high ethical and professional standards, with integrity guiding advocacy and courage defining commitment to justice.
The Society also encouraged the new barristers to use their knowledge and skills to defend the rule of law, protect rights, and contribute to the advancement of society. “The future of the legal profession and our democracy rests in your hands,” it noted.
The Lawyers’ Society concluded by once again congratulating the new members and welcoming them to the Sierra Leone Bar.
