The International Insurance Company (IIC) have held its formal commissioning of its IIC Tower and also formally launched its Agric Insurance, Citadel Assets Management (SL) Ltd and Citadel Properties (SL) Ltd on Tuesday 24th June, 2025 at 11 to 13 Bathurst Street, Freetown.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director/ CEO of IIC Dr Nduka Anyaso said the dream to established IIC happened twenty two years ago when it was formed, he added that IIC operates in other countries in Africa but well established in sierra Leone with branches all over the country.
He spoke of the different products he and his team have introduced in Sierra Leone including the agric insurance and health insurance among others. He spoke of the state of the art ten storey IIC Tower with each floor fitted with IT system, reliable power supply, air conditioners among others, this he said is an indication that IIC is in Sierra Leone to stay. He thanked the local engineer and his team for a perfect work in constructing the IIC tower.
Tunji Kareem, MD/CEO Citadel Asset Management said the citadel asset management is licened and approved by the Bank of Sierra Leone, he spoke of products like citadal easy fund, citadel salon fund, citadel future fund among othersIn his remark, the Chairman Board of Directors, IIC, Patrick Kiakia said that he was very proud as Chairman for the good work the management under Dr Nduka Anyaso is doing.
He said that the management of IIC have introduced a lot of products that have changed the status of farmers, business people, military, police and other citizens of this country.In his statement, the Executive Director, National Investment Board, Dr Edward Hinga Sandy noted that he is proud of IIC for the rapid development in terms of infrastructure, and other products that are helping sierra Leoneans in many ways.
He highlighted the names of companies including IIC that are doing great in improving the economy of Sierra Leone. He applauded the IIC for a beautiful state of the art building which one of the best is ever built in Sierra Leone.
The High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Sierra Leone Ambassador Anthony John Ebipador thanked the MD/CEO of IIC for a good work done, he said that IIC is also doing well in Nigeria but was amazed at the progress and level of development that he has witnessed in Sierra Leone by IIC.
He ended that the High Commission is always ready to compliment IIC when called uponIn his Keynote address, the Deputy Minister of Finance One, Ministry of Finance Kadiatu Alie said that the government of Sierra Leone is very proud of IIC.
She added that her ministry is always willing to corporate with IIC because of the way they are complimenting one of the governments five game changers which is the positive drive in agriculture and the proactive nature of management.
She encouraged more women to get involved in agriculture as together we can develop sierra Leone.
