Luawa FC Head coach Sebastian Bowels Blasts For Sierra Leone Premier League Referees

Luawa FC Head Coach Sebastian Bowles has criticized the level of football officiating in the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League.

He believes It doesn’t matter how good the pitch is if the refereeing standards is poor, it will affect outcomes of matches.


The referring was poor in our match vs Kholifa Stars it has been in this league generally, I have been saying this for many times the referees in this league need to raise their standards otherwise this league will not go forward, it is a joke league.
It doesn’t matter how good the pitch is if the refereeing standards is poor, these guys shouldn’t be even refereeing division 2, community leagues is where they belong not a Premier League match
It is not a coincidence there is no Sierra Leoneans ref at CAF competitions, they need to invest a lot more in referee coaching & education to get the refereeing standard up in this league.

Though Luawa is struggling with consistency in winning games, the 44 years old, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. He took charge of Luawa FC next with a clear objective of positioning the team among the top three in the league.

Sebastian Bowles holds a UEFA License from the Scottish FA, a testament to his professional qualifications and dedication to football coaching. Notably, he achieved remarkable success in Finland, where he guided the U-17 team to an unbeaten victory in the Finnish U-17 championship. Additionally, Bowles led the youth team to three promotions, propelling FC Haka U-17 and FC Haka U-20 to the First Division, and FC Haka U-20 to the Premier League.
