SLFA General Secretary Graduates from UEFA GS Academy

The Sierra Leone Football Association General Secretary- Christopher Kamara- has today received a UEFA Football Administration Certificate after successfully completing a five-day training titled GS Academy organized by UEFA Assist in Maputo, Mozambique.

Designed by UEFA in collaboration with CAF for general secretaries, the GS Academy which lasted from the 12th to the 16th April 2021 provides the essential knowledge, tools and network needed to successfully and strategically manage football associations.

Appreciating the five-day training, the SLFA General Secretary- Christopher Kamara said, “The UEFA Assist training is an eye opener to modern day management of national football associations. I am proud to have graduated from such a useful training course under a world class football institution”. Kamara added that,” the training has helped hugely in putting me in the exact position of empowerment regarding the administration of football in Sierra Leone”.

Talking about expected benefits from the SLFA- UEFA Assist partnership, Cristopher Kamara said that more training opportunities for senior management staff and loads of equipment including a mini-bus and medical kits have been approved for the Sierra Leone Football Association.
