He attended Albert Academy School in Sierra Leone and later pursued higher education at Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone, where he studied Social Work and earned a degree. His academic background provided a solid foundation for his lifelong passion for helping others and promoting social well-being. Throughout his career, Sahr has worked in various sectors in Sierra Leone, gaining extensive experience in community service, social support, and professional development. His diverse work experience reflects his adaptability, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those he serves.

Currently, Sahr Aruna works with Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
