Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner To Kenya Takes Up Duty

The High Commissioner of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Republic of Kenya, Her Excellency Isatu Aminata Bundu, touched down yesterday, 31st May, 2021 at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya.She was received by all the Diplomatic Staff of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Kenya. The Head of Chancery of the aforementioned Mission, Mrs. Juliana S.H. Fallah, welcomed her on behalf of the staff, expressed her warmest reception and instantaneously assured her of the staff’s willingness and irrevocable commitment in giving adequate representation to Sierra Leone and in achieving the dreams and aspirations of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

In her welcome statement on behalf of the staff, the Head of Chancery had this to say “having you as a High Commissioner is a great honour! Indeed all of us are excited to working you, welcome Kenya (Karibu Kenya )“

The Minister Plenipotentiary of the said Mission, Mr. Abdul Karim Kargbo also welcomed and congratulated her on the new national assignment and expressed assurance of close and excellent working relations in deepening the bilateral and multilateral ties  between Kenya and Sierra Leone and as well as United Nations in Nairobi, and in consistently promoting the interests of Sierra Leone in Kenya.

In her statement, the new High Commissioner thanked the Mission’s Staff, praised President Bio for the opportunity given to her in representing Sierra Leone in Kenya and  at the United Nations, and pledged working with all and sundry in promoting the interests of Sierra Leone and setting her to an irreversible path to prosperity and development.
