The Patriotic Advocacy Network (PAN) has successfully concluded a two-day capacity-building training for its staff and volunteers, held from April 1–2, 2026, at its office on 4th Andrew Street in Freetown.
The training was aimed at equipping members with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively represent and advance the organization’s mission.

In his welcome address, the Executive Director, Paul Jonathan Koroma, emphasized the importance of the training as a platform for strengthening the capacity of both new and existing members. He noted that the session was designed to deepen participants’ understanding of the organization’s vision, structure, and operations.
“This training is meant to equip you with a full understanding of the organization and to help you protect and promote its image wherever you represent it,” he stated.

The Chair of the Board of Directors, Janet Sia Kallon, encouraged members to remain committed to the goals of the organization. She urged both new and existing members to prioritize the interests of PAN and contribute meaningfully to its growth.
Sharing her personal experience, Madam Kallon highlighted the benefits she has gained through her involvement with the organization, noting that dedication and genuine effort can lead to both personal and professional development.

“You can achieve great things if you commit yourself to supporting the objectives of the organization,” she added.
Also speaking during the training, Board Member and lead facilitator, Ansumana Keita, provided participants with an in-depth overview of the organization’s history, growth, and transformation. He explained that PAN has evolved from a community-based initiative into a fully-fledged civil society organization.
“We have transitioned significantly, and understanding this journey will help members align with our future direction,” he said, stressing the importance of understanding the organization’s roadmap.

The training concluded with participants gaining a clearer understanding of PAN’s operational framework and its calendar of activities for the year. Key among its upcoming events is the National Storytelling Festival, expected to serve as a major platform for community engagement and cultural expression.
The Patriotic Advocacy Network continues to call on the public to stay engaged with its activities, reaffirming its commitment to national development under its motto: “Together We Can Achieve.”
