The timely donation comes as the school intensifies preparations for the historic Thanksgiving, an event expected to bring together old students, current pupils, and well-wishers to celebrate over a century of excellence and tradition at Prince of Wales School.

Addressing the school Brass Band, Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura said the gesture is part of his ongoing effort to support school-based activities that promote unity, discipline, and talent development among students. He noted that the Brass Band plays a significant role in representing the image and pride of the school during major events.
“This support is to ensure that the Brass Band is well-prepared for the 101 Thanksgiving Service. They are a vital part of the celebration, and it is important that we continue to encourage and invest in them,” he stated.
Receiving the donation, the Band Pede Gabbidon, Band Leader expressed sincere appreciation to the OPWA Vice President II for what he described as a timely and impactful contribution. He noted that the funds will greatly assist in facilitating rehearsals and other logistical needs ahead of the Thanksgiving.

“We are grateful for this support. It has come at the right time as we prepare for a very important event in the history of our school. This gesture will go a long way in boosting the morale of the band members,” he said.
The donation further highlights the growing role of old students in supporting the development of extracurricular activities at Prince of Wales School. Stakeholders continue to emphasize the importance of such contributions in sustaining the legacy and strengthening the capacity of student groups.

As the preparation for the 101 Thanksgiving Service continues, contributions like this remain crucial in ensuring a successful and memorable celebration.
