The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has today hosted a visiting German mission team at its headquarters in Freetown ahead of their scheduled on-site assessment of ongoing development programmes across the country.

The delegation was received by the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, members of NaCSA’s senior management team, and technical staff from key programme units. The engagement provided an opportunity for both parties to review the scope, progress, and impact of current interventions being implemented under the programme.

In his welcome remarks, the Commissioner expressed appreciation for the continued partnership and emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration in delivering tangible results for communities nationwide.

Presentations during the meeting highlighted a wide range of ongoing activities, including infrastructure development, youth employment initiatives, and complementary social and economic interventions. NaCSA outlined its operational framework, noting that multiple contracts are active across several districts, with a strong focus on quality assurance, timely delivery, and responsiveness to community needs.

The German delegation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting effective project implementation and ensuring that programme objectives are achieved within agreed timelines. Both sides also underscored the importance of continuous monitoring, adaptive planning, and stakeholder engagement in addressing field-level challenges.

Particular attention was given to ongoing road construction works in the provinces, which remain a key component of the programme’s infrastructure portfolio. The delegation has since departed Freetown to commence field inspections, where they will engage local stakeholders and assess progress firsthand.

The meeting also served to align expectations ahead of the delegation’s subsequent engagement at State House. Both parties reiterated their commitment to maintaining strong institutional partnerships and open communication channels throughout the implementation process.

The engagement concluded with mutual expressions of appreciation, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing development initiatives and improving livelihoods across Sierra Leone.
