The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has issued a statement that the 2023/24 FA Cup Grand Final, which took place on Saturday, May 4, in Port Loko, was brought to an abrupt end due to crowd trouble.

The incident occurred during a crucial moment in the match, prompting the match officials to halt the game to ensure the safety of all involved. The FA Cup Organising Committee is currently awaiting the reports from the Referee and Match Commissioner to ascertain the cause of the incident
The SLFA condemns any form of violence or unruly behaviour at football matches. The safety and security of players, officials, and fans are of paramount importance.
