The National Secretariat of the All People’s Congress (APC) has announced that rerun ward elections will be conducted on Saturday, April 4, 2026, as part of efforts to complete outstanding internal electoral processes within the party.

In a public notice issued under the authority of the National Secretary General, the Secretariat informed party members and the general public that details of the specific wards and designated polling centers for the rerun exercise will be officially republished on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

The APC urged all stakeholders, including aspirants, party officials, and members, to adequately prepare for the exercise and adhere strictly to the party’s constitutional provisions and electoral guidelines. The Secretariat emphasized that all participants must conduct themselves in line with the APC Constitution (2022) and other regulations governing internal party elections.

Reaffirming its commitment to credibility, the party assured that the rerun process would be conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner under the supervision of relevant party structures and in compliance with established rules.

The notice further stated that key state institutions, including the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) and the Sierra Leone Police, led by the Inspector General of Police, have been formally notified to provide the necessary support to ensure a peaceful and orderly process.

The APC National Secretariat called for the full cooperation of all members and stakeholders, stressing that collective responsibility will be crucial to the successful and peaceful conduct of the rerun elections.
