‘VACCINATION PROCESS IS UNLAWFUL’ -Pentecostal Fellowship Blasts

By Christian Conteh

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Sierra Leone (PFSL) has in a press dated 28th June 2021 raised concerns over the ongoing vaccination process.

The Christian Body notes that it is committed to collaborating with the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) in putting in place preventive measures as the nation experiences the 3rd wave of the COVID- 19 pandemic.

However, the body expresses strong reservations over the process of mandatory and forced vaccination adopted by NACOVERC and other institutions.

“We believe that this process and its consequences has not been carefully thought through. We believe that there is an infringement upon our rights as citizens [and that we] are subjected to a process that is unlawful, inconsiderate and has not been used in the developed world.”

Key among their reservations include:

1. The rights of citizens to determine what goes into their bodies has been greatly infringed upon.

2. We are being forced to take vaccines that have not gone through the full process of certifying their full efficacy.

3. We are unaware of who will accept responsibility for any negative reaction and side effect to the vaccines as in the reports we learn of in some Western countries.

4. There is hardly any information given to the populace on the side effects of the vaccines that have resulted in deaths in some nations, while people are not given a good option or fair alternative.

5. We do not believe that our health ministry and system have the capacity to handle many of the side effects of the vaccines nor will there be any compensation for the families of those who lose their lives as a result of this test stage of the vaccines.

We do not want our people to be used as guinea pigs.

What medical preparations are in place for people with underlying conditions who may take the vaccines: are they being sent to face any outcome and leave their families mourning, in the case of fatalities?

The release ended by celebrating the great concern demonstrated by President Bio, whilst calling for a meeting with the necessary authorities and in the meantime immediate withdrawal from the present position taken.
