The matter of the death by strangulation of 5-year-old Madinatu Kadija Saccoh did not commence in court Monday due to the absence of the Pathologist who was expected to be cross examined by the lead defense counsel.

Shortly after the matter was mentioned yesterday for hearing, the lead defense counsel, Alhaji M. Kamara informed the presiding Magistrate, Mark Ngegba of Court No.2 along Pademba Road that he received a call from State Counsel, JAK Sesay, who told him that the Pathologist would not be coming to court as expected because he had an equally important matter to handle.

The Defense counsel further told the Bench that the State Counsel, JAK Sesay did promise that he would interpose other witnesses in the interest of progress.

Few minutes later, another State Counsel, YI Sesay surfaced and told the court that the substantive counsel was at the Appeal Court dealing with another matter.
