IPAM Issues 17 Rules and Regulations Ahead of Exams Tomorrow

As students gear up for the First Semester examinations of the 2023-2024 academic year, the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) has published a comprehensive set of Rules and Regulations to govern the conduct of examinations. These regulations will come into effect starting on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024.

The notice, issued by the Institute Administration, emphasizes that any violation of these rules and regulations will lead to disciplinary action, potentially including academic penalties. Students are strongly advised to familiarize themselves with the following summary of the Rules and Regulations to ensure compliance:

Examination Rules and Regulations for Candidates:

  1. Candidates must not enter the Examination Room more than thirty (30) minutes after the examination has commenced or leave before an hour of the examination period has passed.
  2. Students are encouraged to utilize restroom facilities before the start of the examination.
  3. Once the examination begins, candidates may only use the toilet once, and only after two (2) hours of the examination period have elapsed.
  4. All candidates must prominently display their student identification cards (ID Cards) on their desk throughout the examination.
  5. Students must come prepared with their own writing materials (pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, calculators, etc.), as borrowing from fellow students is strictly prohibited.
  6. Personal effects such as handbags, books, or written papers are not allowed in the examination hall.
  7. Programmable calculators or mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
  8. Candidates arriving late will not be granted additional time beyond the advertised commencement of the examination.
  9. Any candidate found with unauthorized material, whether relevant to the examination or not, will be disqualified from continuing the examination for that module.
  10. Before starting an examination, candidates must complete the Front Page of the Answer Booklet, Attendance Form, and Attendance List.
  11. It is the responsibility of each candidate to ensure they have received the correct Examination Paper.
  12. Candidates are not allowed to read the examination questions until permitted to do so.
  13. No communication with anyone except the invigilator is permitted during the examination.
  14. Candidates in need of assistance must raise their hand to attract the attention of the invigilator.
  15. Candidates must complete the Answer Booklet before requesting supplementary sheets.
  16. At the announcement of the end of the examination, candidates must cease writing immediately and remain seated until Answer Booklets and attendance slips are collected.
  17. Answer Booklets or supplementary sheets must not be removed from the examination room.
