The launch event took place last Friday, March 22, 2024, at the bank’s headquarters on Charlotte Street in Freetown.

Under the enticing offers of the Easter-Ramadan Promotion, customers stand a chance to receive exciting gift items by availing themselves of remittance services at any UBA-SL branch nationwide. This promotional campaign, running from March to April 2024, encourages customers to “Receive Money Worldwide from UBA-SL branches across the country and get rewarded with exciting gift items.”

Gift items up for grabs include essentials like rice, cooking oil, African fabrics (lappa), wristbands, brand-new UBA-SL keyholders, and hand flasks. These offerings are available to customers who receive cash from the diaspora through UBA-SL’s array of financial services, including MoneyGram, Ria, Western Union, and Africash.

Anita Thomas, the Head of Retail Banking at UBA-SL, emphasized the initiative’s aim to engage with both existing and potential customers, particularly those receiving remittances from their loved ones abroad. She underscored the bank’s commitment to enhancing customer experience and fostering closer relationships with the community.

Mr Mohamed, Head of Remittance at UBA-SL, highlighted the significance of the Easter and Ramadan seasons, during which many customers receive financial support from relatives overseas.
