Sierra Leone’s foremost telecommunications giant, Orange SL has once again started its annual Ramadan Sunnakati support to Muslim communities across the country.
Its first port of call was the Dwarzack community yesterday Tuesday 5th April, 2022 where more than one thousand (1000) Muslims gathered at the Dwarzack field to receive free food whilst listening to lectures from renowned Sheikhs about the importance of Ramadan.
Shortly before the programme started, Orange SL staff in collaboration with the community people cooked the food they were to serve the Muslims after praying the evening prayers signifying the end of the day’s fasting.
A senior Orange SL staff,Mohamed Kallon said Orange SL believes in sharing. He added that sharing is caring and that the journey they have started in Dwarzack will be extended to other communities across the country. He further explained to his audience the importance of their latest ‘Love Tight’ promotion which seeks to share love among and between individual Muslims and Muslim communities across the country. ‘Love Tight’ further seeks to take the company’s message about its several services that target the ordinary man and woman which can be accessed at very low cost.
One of the Muslim leaders who spoke at the event stated that it was very wonderful that even though they found it difficult to have their daily bread on ordinary days are amazed and grateful to Orange to have initiated such a programme, adding that they are very grateful to Orange SL and would continue to pray for the company’s development.
He recalled that around the same time last year, Orange SL took the same programme to Dwarzack and other communities across the country.
According to Sheikh Ibrahim, Orange SL’s programme at this point in time is not a surprise as they have been doing the same in past years. He called on the congregation to pray for Orange SL and further personally prayed for the company and for Allah to grant the company success in all its endeavors in Sierra Leone.
