At Njala University…NATCOM DG Complements HE’s Human Capital Agenda

Njala University Secretariat, Njala Campus- 15th March 2022- The Director-General of the National Telecommunications Commission, NATCOM, Mr. Daniel Bobson Kaitibi has complemented HE Rtd. Brigadier Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s Human Capital Agenda by providing state-of-the-art teaching and learning materials to students of Njala University, Njala Campus.


Director Internal Audit and Risk Management, NATCOM, Mr. Juldeh O. Bah who deputized the Director-General noted during the presentation of the items to the University Administration and the Student’s Union Government that the donation of the items was backed by the belief of the Director-General that the Free, quality education flagship program is the bedrock to the development of any nation.
He underscored the point that the donation by NATCOM will enhance the learning environment of the students and also motivate staff members to deliver quality services to the students.
Acting Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Andrew Baimba thanked NATCOM and the Director-General for answering the call of the students to improve their learning environment.
He recounted that there has been a paradigm shift from the use of traditional equipment to impact learning to the use of state of art technology and thanked the students for joining his administration in solving some of the perennial challenges confronting the University.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor encouraged staff and students to make use of the donation and make the Commission proud.
Chief Minister, Student Union Government, Mohamed Dyphan Massaquoi and the former Project Director in the erstwhile Student Union Government, Madam Habibatu Bah gave the background to the donation and entreated their colleagues to make similar moves to secure the necessary goodies for the University.
Professor Bashiru Mohamed Koroma, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Njala Campus and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Njala University earlier on welcomed the NATCOM delegation to Njala University and implored on them to collaborate with the University in its new Private Partnership drive in the areas of staff/students housing, energy and water.
He lauded the vision of the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Principal for steadily making progress in the areas of effective and timely delivery of course content and examinations and also superintending over a restructuring wide-process leading to the rationalization of programs and courses in the University in tandem with 21st century demands.

Student Union President, Mustapha G. Samah thanked NATCOM for coming to their aid and urged his colleagues to make use of the gesture.
