Chief Pa Alimamy Maruf Conteh of Kroo Bay Community in Freetown, on Thursday 1st July, 2021 expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone and their health partner ICAP for the continuous support to the health of Kroo Bay community residents.
Speaking before Orange executives, Chief Pa Alimany revealed that the Orange Foundation multi-disease screening booth has changed health issues at Kroo Bay because parents no longer have to pay for health services.
The Chief called on other companies to follow the good work of Orange in order to help the government change the lives of poor people.
According to Chief Pa Alimamy Maruf Conteh, this is not the first time Orange SL is making good the lives of the people of Kroo Bay community. He added that he believes that Orange Foundation is one institution which the government must encourage.
Pa Alimamy Maruf Conteh went further to state that as far as he and his community people are concerned, they will always be looking up to Orange Foundation SL because Orange is not only here to make profit but also here to make the lives of Sierra Leoneans better.
Other key stakeholders including the CHO expressed their thanks for the support and explained how lactating mother are getting quick reminders always and are punctual at receiving treatment.
Mr. Soriba Kamara said the package from Orange is a big relief to Kroo Bay community. He thanked the CEO and his team for the wonderful support.
In the process of sharing the items, the breastfeeding mothers performed a skit showing the support that Orange is giving to them [free clinic service to pregnant women and support to breastfeeding mothers].
