The High Court of Sierra Leone presided over by Justice A. K. Musa has today Thursday 11th of March 2021 acquitted and discharged Former Mayor  of the Freetown Municipality Herbert George – Williams and Abu Bakarr Daramy for murder and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm in relation to the death of the late journalist Ibrahim Samura .

This verdict by the 11 man jury came almost after a two years trial in which the state called 10 witnesses .

Both Accused Persons were represented by Human Rights and Criminal Defence lawyers , Melron Nicol – Wilson & Lansana Dumbuya.

The state was represented by  lawyer Umu Sumaray
