SLFA PRESIDENT MOTIVATES LEONE STARS AHEAD OF AFCON QUALIFIERS NEXT MONTH
The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association Madam Isha Johansen has this morning motivated the Leone Stars Homebased players with inspiring words during during a warmup match this morning against Premier League side FC Johansen as Sierra Leone prepares ahead of the final AFCON Qualifying matches against Lesotho and Benin next month.
The SLFA Boss whiles addressing the players and technical team reminded the boys of the task ahead saying, “keep up the training as we have a big match ahead of us and we can only hope for the best and the best is a win that can see the Nation through to the AFCON.” Adding that she has no problem in believing that the team can do it for the country but however encourages them to continue to be disciplined and to keep the vision which she said is about ”putting Sierra Leone on the map for the right reasons.”
Leone Stars will play away in Lesotho on the 22nd March and at home against Benin on the 30th March 2021 and win in both matches will see Sierra Leone through to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations Tournament in Cameroon.
Leone Stars Head Coach John Keister had invited 30 Homebased players and team has been intensive training since last month to ensure early preparation for the double tasks ahead.
