Front runner for the All People’s Congress 2023 Flag bearer and former Presidential Candidate of the APC in the 2018 elections,Dr. Samura Kamara,has taken his Covid-19 sensitization drive to Port Loko district in northwestern Sierra Leone.
Dr. Kamara told the people that he was in that part of the country to replicate his coronavirus awareness drive and to convey to them the warmest festive season greetings from the Chairman and Leader of the APC,Dr.Ernest Bai Koroma. He implored the people to take precautionary measures against the virus and to comply with health protocols or regulations from healthcare workers and other authorities.
In order to help the people perfect precautionary measures, Dr. Kamara distributed over one thousand face masks to people and urged them to be using masks in public places.
On the sidelines of the coronavirus awareness drive ,the leading flag bearer candidate for the APC gave grants to Constituency Chairladies of the ten chiefdoms in the district . He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the grants and to be united and resilient in their support for the party .
Dr.Kamara received a popular endorsement from various speakers and the populace of Port Loko for his 2023 APC flag bearer ambition .He told the gathering that the APC was aware of the economic difficulties in the country and urged them to remain steadfast in their support so that by 2023 ,they would ensure that the party returns to power.
The highly respected statesman and renowned economist spoke about recent developments like the Auditor General’s Report, the unfortunate statement of the Bank Governor and the general economic hardship that has been brought to bear on the ordinary man.
Dr.Kamara urged all to put aside their differences and to put hands on deck for the success of the party in 2023 . He implored aggrieved members to forgive and encouraged Constituency Executive Members to register members. Dr.Kamara sympathized with the recent fire victims in Port Loko and gave support to stakeholders and the less privileged in the district
