One among the many functions of any politician is to keep his or her constituents inform on the day today running of the state.As part of his tour in his constituency, the Honorable Member of Parliament for constituency 028 in Kono District, Honorable Sahr Charles has engaged the people of Tansagbaya village in upper Gbense on his roles and responsibilities as MP representing his people in parliament.
Addressing the people Honorable Sahr Charles made it known that as MPs they are closely working with government in terms of advocating, approving, and monitoring developments in the country.
He maintained that though it is not the responsibility of the MPs to bring development directly to their constituency but since they were elected they have been undertaking self support projects in their different constituencies in the country.
Honorable Shar Charles disclosed that he is one among few MPs in the country who have one of the biggest constituencies which covers three chiefdoms in Kono District which include Fiama, Kaama and Upper Gbense.
Dilating on the concerns raised by the people of Tansagbaya village in upper Gbense, the Honorable Member of Parliament presented bags of cement for the construction of a mosque and a baray going on the village as part of his own support to the people and that he will continue to do more help whenever funds are available.
He called on the people to join government in supporting development and that as MP he will continue to advocatefor his people at all time.
He disclosed that similar support was also done in Kaama Chiefdom and that a construction of a junior secondary school is presently going on in Yakior village in Fiama Chiefdom.
He said more plans are at hand to bring more supports in his constituency.
Some of the community people thanked the Honorable Member of Parliament for the love extended to them.
According to them it was a blessing for them to see their honorable in their community which shows signs of appreciation which no elected MP of the said constituency has ever done.
They assured the MP of their total commitment and that they will always have him in their good will book.
They reminded him to channel some of their constraints to the central government for better living.
