NASSIT Director General Begins Nationwide Operational Tour

The Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Chernor Mamoud Jalloh, has commenced a week-long operational tour of the Trust’s regional, operational and investment sites across Sierra Leone.

The tour began on Monday, September 14, 2026, with a visit to the NASSIT Sub-Office in Kono District, where Jalloh engaged staff and outlined his vision for improving the efficiency and impact of the social security scheme.

During the engagement, the Director General assured staff of Management’s commitment to their welfare and improved service delivery. He also highlighted the need to strengthen the operations of the scheme to better serve contributors and pensioners.

Jalloh also met with Paramount Chiefs, Section Chiefs and Town Chiefs in Kono District, where he expressed appreciation for their continued support to NASSIT.

He assured the traditional leaders of the Trust’s commitment to effective service delivery, integrity and prudent investment practices.

The nationwide tour is expected to continue over the coming days, with Jalloh scheduled to engage staff across NASSIT’s regional offices to identify operational challenges and discuss measures to strengthen the delivery of social security services to contributors and pensioners.

The engagement forms part of Management’s efforts to assess operations across the country and enhance the delivery of NASSIT services nationwide.
