Sierra Leonean fintech company Flot is set to launch an all-in-one financial platform that brings card services, payments, transfers and travel services together in a single application.

The company will begin the rollout on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, with the virtual card going live as the first phase of the launch. The physical Flot card is expected to become available on 12 September 2026.

The platform is being introduced under the theme, “Your Card. Your Controls. One App.” It is designed to allow users to manage various financial activities from a single application, including payments, card transactions, fund transfers and financial monitoring.

Flot’s platform will also incorporate flight-ticket services, enabling users to access travel-related services alongside their financial transactions. The company says the integrated model is intended to reduce the need for customers to rely on multiple applications for different financial needs.

A key feature of the platform is its Global Visa Card, which will allow users to manage and monitor their card transactions through the application. The card is also designed for international use where Visa payment networks are accepted, potentially providing greater convenience for Sierra Leoneans who travel, shop or conduct transactions across borders.

The launch comes amid the continued growth of digital financial services in Sierra Leone, as fintech companies increasingly seek to provide technology-driven alternatives for everyday financial transactions.

Flot’s rollout will initially focus on the virtual card, while the physical card is scheduled to enter the market on 12 September. The company’s integrated approach represents an ambitious move within Sierra Leone’s evolving fintech sector, with its adoption likely to depend on factors including reliability, affordability, security and accessibility.
