The All People’s Congress (APC) has confirmed Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh as its substantive National Chairman, following a decision by the party’s National Advisory Committee (NAC) in line with the APC Constitution.
The announcement was made in a public notice dated July 8, 2026, and signed by APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., which stated that the decision was taken to ensure continuity and stability in the party’s leadership following the death of the former National Chairman.
According to the party, the NAC met on July 1, 2026, to deliberate on issues concerning the continued administration of the APC. The committee relied on Article 47 of the APC Constitution adopted on March 7, 2022, in making its decision.
Yansaneh, who had previously served as Acting National Chairman, was formally sworn in as the party’s National Chairman during the meeting.
The APC said the appointment was carried out through a constitutional process aimed at maintaining effective leadership and ensuring the smooth running of the party’s affairs.
The party has since notified its members, stakeholders, partners, and the general public that Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh is now officially serving as National Chairman as the APC continues its political and administrative activities.
