Sierra Leone’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alpha Sesay, has hosted a high-level review meeting to assess progress on the implementation of electoral reforms recommended by the Tripartite Committee.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC), the National Moral Guarantors of the Agreement for National Unity, and members of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC).
During the engagement, participants reviewed electoral reforms that have already been implemented and assessed progress on outstanding institutional changes required under the reform process.

The stakeholders also developed a structured roadmap to guide the remaining stages of the reforms, with emphasis on continued coordination and collaboration among relevant institutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Sierra Leone’s democratic institutions through sustained dialogue, consensus-building, and a shared focus on national interest.

The review forms part of ongoing efforts to advance electoral and governance reforms arising from the recommendations of the Tripartite Committee.
