SLFA President Babadi Kamara Pays Courtesy Visit to Orange Sierra Leone, Strengthens Strategic Partnership

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, on Wednesday, July 1, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone to express the Association’s sincere appreciation for the telecommunications company’s invaluable sponsorship of the 2026 FA Cup competition.

President Kamara was accompanied by the SLFA General Secretary, Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh. They were received by Orange Sierra Leone Chief Executive Officer, Aicha Toure, alongside Danetta Younge, General Secretary, and Abdramane Kone, Strategy, Transformation and Marketing Director.

During the meeting, President Kamara commended Orange Sierra Leone for its unwavering commitment to the development of football in the country, noting that the company’s support significantly contributed to the successful staging of this year’s prestigious knockout tournament.

He assured the CEO that the SLFA remains committed to delivering an even bigger, more competitive, and better-organized FA Cup competition next season.

The discussions also explored opportunities to further strengthen the partnership between the two institutions, with both parties considering potential areas of collaboration, including the Sierra Leone Men’s Premier League and the Women’s Premier League, as part of a shared vision to advance football development nationwide.

For their part, Orange Sierra Leone reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the FA Cup for the foreseeable future, expressing confidence in the SLFA’s leadership and its ongoing efforts to enhance the growth, visibility, and commercial appeal of football across Sierra Leone.

The engagement underscores the SLFA’s commitment to building and sustaining strategic partnerships with the private sector as it continues to transform and elevate football at all levels across the country.
