The All People’s Congress United States District has paid glowing tribute to its late National Chairman, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, describing him as a dedicated leader whose service and commitment to the party remained unwavering until his death.
In a statement issued by APC USA District Chairman, Kebbie Turay, the overseas chapter joined the party’s national leadership, structures, and supporters in mourning the passing of Mansaray, who died on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Dakar.
Turay described the late Chairman as a remarkable figure whose leadership was marked by sacrifice, resilience, and an unrelenting commitment to strengthening the APC. He noted that Mansaray remained focused on the party’s vision of returning to governance and delivering on its promises to the people of Sierra Leone.
According to the tribute, despite facing health challenges, the late APC Chairman continued to work tirelessly to unite party members and advance the interests of the party and the nation. Turay emphasized that his determination and devotion to service remained evident until his final days.
The APC USA District Chairman further stated that Mansaray’s death represents a significant loss not only to the party but also to the country, noting that his legacy of peace, courage, hard work, and unity would continue to inspire members across all levels of the APC.
Reflecting on his personal interactions with the late Chairman, Turay said he had the privilege of witnessing Mansaray’s humility, wisdom, and open-door leadership style, qualities he said earned him the confidence and loyalty of party faithful both at home and abroad.
On behalf of the APC USA District Executive and members, Turay extended condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and the wider APC membership, while calling on party supporters to remain united and committed to the values and ideals the late Chairman stood for.
He concluded by saying the life and service of Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray would remain a lasting legacy in the history of the APC and Sierra Leone’s political landscape.
