The opposition All People’s Congress has commenced arrangements to repatriate the remains of its late National Chairman, Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, following his passing in Dakar.
The party’s Parliamentary Leader, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, disclosed on Monday that he was departing from Pôle Santé de Dakar Clinique Mixte, where Mansaray had been receiving medical attention, to accompany the late chairman’s wife, popularly known as Aunty Kay, to her residence in Senegal.
According to Kargbo, the remains of the late APC Chairman have been transferred to the mortuary as preparations are ongoing to transport his body back to Sierra Leone for what party officials describe as a dignified burial.

Describing the loss as a painful moment for both the APC family and the nation, Kargbo said the party remains in mourning and continues to pray for strength and comfort during this difficult period.
He also expressed appreciation to the Government of Sierra Leone for the support and cooperation extended throughout the process.
The death of Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray has sparked an outpouring of tributes from political figures, supporters, and citizens across the country, with many remembering him as a seasoned politician who played a significant role in Sierra Leone’s political landscape.
Details regarding the funeral and burial arrangements are expected to be announced by the APC in the coming days.
