The Moyamba District Students’ Union (MODSU) has announced Hon. Musa Tarawally as the keynote speaker for this year’s “Brains of Moyamba” intellectual competition.
The event, which brings together some of the brightest students from across Moyamba District, is expected to focus on academic excellence, youth development, and character building.
Hon. Tarawally will deliver a keynote address on the theme: “Drug Abuse: A Destroyer of Dreams and Destinies.” His presentation is expected to highlight the dangers of substance abuse among young people and encourage students to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their education and personal development.
MODSU noted that at a time when society continues to face increasing challenges affecting youth behaviour and productivity, the keynote address will serve as a timely intervention aimed at raising awareness and inspiring positive change.
The Union further described the upcoming competition as more than an academic contest, stating that it will serve as a platform for inspiration, learning, awareness, and transformation for future leaders of Moyamba District.
The event is expected to attract students, educators, and community stakeholders committed to promoting education and youth empowerment in the district.
